Our sense of community and dedication to our future is present in all areas of our community culture, starting with childcare. There are a variety of local public and private pre-schools and day cares that foster early learning and development for your child.
Sterling Public Schools early childhood programs offer a continuum of educational services to meet the individual needs of children. Early learning, developmentally appropriate experiences support children’s social, academic and physical development helping to prepare them for a successful kindergarten experience.
Sterling Public Schools offers a screening service free for all 3- to 4-year-old children in the district. The screening is a brief assessment of a child’s development that can determine if a child is progressing as expected for his/her age. In order to determine eligibility for our preschool programs, families must participate in screening.
All screenings are offered in English and Spanish.
